Looking for rear rim and spokes for my 3yf tenere

Post by Noobsonwheels » Thu Feb 07, 2019 5:55 pm

Hi guys.

For some time now i have been looking for new rear rim, and spokes for mye 1993 Yamaha xtz 660 Tenere.
Have seen some on eBay, but dont want to gamble buying a old one. So i have been looking for this for months now.
I have been looking at diff sites, like: Kedo.com, Centra-Wheels.co.uk, cmsnl.com etc. But cant find this anywhere.
Have found everything for the front rim, but not rear.

Do anyone know of a site with ok prices and good quality alu rims and stainless spokes?
Spec: 17 x 2.75 (36 spokes)

PS: have found the rear hub.

Michael :tenere:

I love this forum!

Why 17" Rim? move to 18inch - better tyre choice.....

I am quietly confident that Xt600 spokes would fit but if you could send some measurements of the hub and a pic happy to measure mine.

There are people like Brickwood Wheel Builders who will make and fit spokes and supply rims to suit any 36 hole hub.

Morad RIm suit the XTs in my opinion

Hello,

I was buying my rims from this site :
https://www.motocross-shop.de/motocross ... anguage=en

I could specify the number of holes and their diameter - they drilled them for me.
cheers,
Pawel

Hadn't realised you are in France.

Excel rims are fine but you can get less expensive.

Watch the spokes - XT rims like DID are quite stepped in the centre - so some spoke can be a little short.

these people know there wheels https://www.central-wheel.co.uk/

I hope to find a 17, since i allready have new tires on my old rim. The hub is broken, and i just got a new hub. So thinking of getting new rim and spokes to :)

Yes, wheels would fit from a xt600e.

Hi.

problem is they just have 2.50 x 17 or 3.00 x 17.
I have 2.75 x 17 on my rear wheel.

Yes, they know there wheels, but they dont have for my bike.
Im looking for a 2.75 x 17 rim. They only have 2.50 x 17 or 3.00 x 17.

2.15, 2.50, 2.75 110 MN 4.00
2.15, 2.50, 2.75 110 MP 4.25
2.15, 2.50, 2.75 120 MR 4.50
2.15, 2.50, 2.75 120 MS 4.75
2.50, 2.75, 3.00 130 MT 5.00
2.75, 3.00, 3.50 140 MU 5.50
3.50, 4.00 150 MV 6.00
4.00, 4.50 160 - 6.25

2.75 rims are available and will keep an eye out - but I would be happy running either a 2.5 or 3.00 it depends what you want to do with the bike.
